On a rainy evening in Patiala, La Baracca café caught my eye. As I entered, I saw it’s ambience and could smell freshly baked pizza which gave me a perfect first impression!
The café has a rustic charm. It has Italian and European vibe. Actually every corner has a different vibe. All things here are hand crafted including tables, walls, etc.
I had a word with the owner and he told us that he has himself designed every corner of the café and the walls have been painted by him. He also added that if you would get a picture at one corner then you would feel as if you are sitting at a completely different place.
I saw that there are numerous points in the café where pictures could be taken. The place is definitely impeccable for photogenic people. It feels eclectic yet inviting. It has that car garage type vibe.
When it comes to the food then the food here is traditional Italian. The names of the items are also Italian. They have indulged food with Indian themes as well. For instance, the parmas have also been made for vegetarian customers which obviously is not exactly traditional Italian but it was important to cater Indian vegetarian people’s need as well. Still they have done it with Italian tastes. The food here is well-portioned. Rest their deserts are also unique and scrumptious. They are planning to start Indian food and bar as well soon.
Overall the café is hearty and welcoming. The place serves Italian tastes. The food is soulfully pleasing. It is perfect for café lovers!
