Farmers’ Protest: Jagjit Singh Dallewal Continues Hunger Strike for 53rd Day

The hunger strike led by Jagjit Singh Dallewal at the Khauri Farmers’ Protest entered its 53rd day today. According to a medical bulletin issued by doctors, Dallewal experienced 3-4 bouts of vomiting last night at approximately 12:25 a.m. and has consumed only 150-200 ml of water since then.

Farmer leaders alleged that the government doctors who conducted a medical examination of Dallewal are not revealing his actual condition to the public. They have urged these doctors to inform the nation about the truth of his deteriorating health.

In solidarity with Dallewal, 10 more farmers from Haryana joined the hunger strike today, bringing the total number of protesters on hunger strike to 122. The newly joined protesters include:

1. Dashrath Malik (Hisar)

2. Varinder Khokhar (Sonipat)

3. Hansbir Kharab (Sonipat)

4. Ranbir Bhukkar (Panipat)

5. Rampal Ujhana (Jind)

6. Bedi Dahiya (Sonipat)

7. Suresh Julaheda (Jind)

8. Jagbir Berwal (Hisar)

9. Baljeet Singhmar (Jind)

10. Rohtash Rathi (Panipat)

Farmer leaders stated that the nation’s farmers are fully prepared to sacrifice their lives to safeguard their lands, farming rights, and future generations. They emphasized their unwavering support for Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike to protect the interests of the farming community.

“Jagjit Singh Dallewal is a beacon of hope for farmers, and his determination inspires us all. We stand united with him in this fight,” said one of the farmer leaders at the protest site.

The situation remains tense, with farmers calling for immediate government intervention to address their demands and safeguard the well-being of those on hunger strike.
