
Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a prominent farmers’ leader, continues his hunger strike for the 49th consecutive day at the Khanauri protest site. According to a medical bulletin issued by doctors, his health is deteriorating rapidly, and he is now experiencing significant difficulty speaking.
Today, a joint meeting was held at Gurdwara Sahib in Patran between the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, in coordination with the SKM Coordination Committee. Farmers’ leaders described the meeting as highly constructive, with meaningful discussions on fostering unity and collaboration. To further this unity, the next meeting is scheduled to take place on January 18 in Patran.
Leaders present at today’s meeting included Kaka Singh Kotra, Sarwan Singh Pandher, Inderjit Singh Kotbudha, Jaswinder Singh Longowal, Abhimanyu Kohar, Surjit Singh Phool, Sukhjeet Singh Hardo Jhande, Manjit Singh Rahe, Lakhwinder Singh Aulakh, Gurinder Singh Bhangu, Jarnail Singh Chahal, and Amarjeet Singh Mohri from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. Additionally, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Krishan Prasad, Raminder Singh Patiala, Dr. Darshanpal, Yudhvir Singh, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, and Manjit Singh Dhaner represented the Samyukta Kisan Morcha.
A significant group of farmers from Sonipat, Haryana, reached the Khanauri protest site today in solidarity with Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Tomorrow, another large contingent of farmers is expected to arrive from Kaithal district, Haryana.
Haryana farmers expressed their unwavering support for Jagjit Singh Dallewal and vowed to amplify his message and struggle by organizing meetings in every village and spreading awareness among households.
