Patiala District’s Voter Count Reaches 15,01,207 -Final Electoral Rolls Published After Revision

Patiala, January 7:

The voter count in Patiala district has reached 15,01,207 following the revision of electoral rolls based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Isha Singhal, handed over the updated voter lists and CDs to representatives of various political parties today.

During the revision process, new voters were added, ineligible voters were removed, and corrections were made. Patiala district now comprises eight assembly constituencies: Nabha, Patiala Rural, Rajpura, Ghanaur, Sanaur, Patiala, Samana, and Shutrana. Among the total voters, there are 7,83,268 male voters, 7,17,877 female voters, and 62 transgender voters.

Assembly-Wise Voter Details:

• Nabha: Total voters: 1,87,288 (97,446 males, 89,832 females, 10 transgenders)

• Patiala Rural: Total voters: 2,18,434 (1,12,480 males, 1,05,946 females, 8 transgenders)

• Rajpura: Total voters: 1,80,233 (94,495 males, 85,733 females, 5 transgenders)

• Ghanaur: Total voters: 1,64,068 (88,070 males, 75,998 females)

• Sanaur: Total voters: 2,25,239 (1,18,228 males, 1,07,004 females, 7 transgenders)

• Patiala Urban: Total voters: 1,51,002 (77,501 males, 73,488 females, 13 transgenders)

• Samana: Total voters: 1,89,464 (98,671 males, 90,779 females, 14 transgenders)

• Shutrana: Total voters: 1,85,479 (96,377 males, 89,097 females, 5 transgenders)

Key Highlights:

Isha Singhal informed that the Election Commission of India has designated four eligibility dates annually: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. The next eligibility date for voter list updates is April 1, 2025.

She urged political parties to thoroughly verify the voter lists and report any discrepancies, including missing eligible voters, unremoved ineligible voters, or required corrections. Any claims or objections submitted during this period will be addressed as per the guidelines of the ongoing revision process.

For the convenience of the public, a toll-free helpline (1950) has been set up at the Election Tehsildar’s office in Patiala. Voters can use this service to seek information, provide feedback, submit suggestions, or file complaints related to electoral matters.

The meeting was attended by Election Tehsildar Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and representatives of various political parties.
